Re-checked on September 27, 2026 against wealthsimple.com/en-ca/referrals, which confirmed both sides get $25 CAD once the referred friend deposits $100 CAD or more within 30 days, that there is no cap on the number of referrals, and that the bonus arrives automatically in a Wealthsimple chequing account (opening one is required to collect it if the referrer lacks one).
Corrected enroll from direct to built-in on September 27, 2026: this is an in-product customer referral feature (share a personal code from your own account), not an affiliate application processed outside the product.
Checked wealthsimple.com's own referral page and its promotions/help terms link on September 27, 2026 for self-referral policy, whether the referrer must already be a customer, and clawback on refund or account closure; the referral page itself is silent on all three, and the linked terms page (help.wealthsimple.com) could not be retrieved (blocked by a bot check), so these remain unanswered rather than assumed false.
