Kit, the newsletter program that pays for a year — and more worth knowing.

Rates are from each program’s own page. The rest is what we’ve learned about who does well with them.

The spotlight · Kit

What it is · Kit50% · 12 mo

Email software for creators, with a free plan (Newsletter: $0/mo · up to 10,000 subscribers, 1 automation), so the people you refer can start without paying — and you’re paid when they upgrade.

Who it’s right for

Audiences who are starting or growing a newsletter: podcasters, YouTubers, writers. Wrong fit if your readers are already settled on Substack or beehiiv — switching is a big ask.

The catch

Most referrals start on the free plan, so money comes slowly. Publishers who do well treat it as a long game: recurring income from each upgrade, for as long as the program pays it.

Worth knowing

Descript$25

The editing tool podcasters mention most. Easy to recommend honestly because people see it working in your own show.

ElevenLabs22% · 12 mo

Voice and dubbing. Strong fit for audiences making video or translating shows. It only credits its own partner links, so join properly.

Framer50% · 12 mo

Site builder with a generous first-year share. Right if your audience builds sites; skip it if they don’t — the rate won’t matter.

How to promote it

Show it, don’t list it

The links that earn are the ones next to real use: “here’s how I cut this episode” beats a tools page. Put the link where you show the work, and say plainly that you earn from it.

Ancaster earns nothing from these listings, and no program paid to appear.
